It’s a huge week for Atlanta rapper, Future. He’s releasing his 7th studio album, “The Wizrd”, and it’s set to drop January 18th. Future’s been putting a few tracks in the air, firing test shots to see what his fans want. It looks like he finally made up his mind with the track, “Crushed Up”.

The song hits the listener with a fresh trap beat, and Future snapping the lyrics, “Diamonds in the face crushed up, I can see it”. As always, Future gives a top-notch performance on the cut, and aided by a slow but infectious bounce, “Crushed Up”, is a hot song. Still, he’s only rhyming about the usual subject matter, and Future is still rocking his usual auto-tune. You can see it coming from too far away for the song to surprise you, at all.

I give “Crushed Up” by Future 3 out of 5 Daggers. It’s a hot track… but it’s not fire, and it does not Draw Blood.
