After previewing this single internationally several months ago, Offset is back and ready to press the gas on the single, “Red Room.” Since then a lot has gone on… like the breakup and subsequent make-up with his wife Cardi B. Being married to such a big star during the most important time of her career was bound to cause a bit of a delay in his own program.
The Grammys are over, and now Offset can concentrate on promoting “Red Room,” a lyrical picture into Offset’s past life as trapper and jacker. It’s a slow bounce track from Metroboomin, paired with Migos’ flow, but done the Offset way. It’s a good look into the man, and his fans will love it. It also comes with a story telling video that fits the jam perfectly.
I give “Red Room” by Offset & Metroboomin 3 out of 5 Daggers. This track is lyrically interesting, but low energy keeps it from really achieving, and it does not Draw Blood.
