R. Kelly really let it all hang out in his interview with CBS’s Gayle King this morning. His first sit-down interview brought a rollercoaster of denials, pushbacks, and actual tears flowing down the face of the R&B legend. See the moment he rose up…
In a performance that many are comparing to Denzel Washington’s epic scenes in the movie Training Day, R. Kelly says he’s trying to have a relationship with his kids, and exclaims, “Y’all killin’ me with this shit!”
When Gayle asked if he’d ever held anybody against their will, it gets very interesting – he pushed back, and said it would be “stupid,” but he never said no to the question. Have a look…
He did, however, reiterate that he beat his case last time in 2006, but didn’t seem to want that question to apply to those accusations back then. Gayle had a lot to handle with the singer’s behavior, but she remained calm – at times seeming like a child psychologist, just trying to keep her subject focused.
The singer is facing 10 counts of felony sex abuse. This is a very serious situation, and it seems R. Kelly just got the memo. We’ll see where it goes from here.
Until the next time it drips…
