Grammy nominated rapper and Los Angeles businessman Nipsey Hussle was assassinated today outside of his business, in broad daylight.
He was apparently approached while walking with a group of people when an unknown gunman walked up and opened fire, killing the 33-year-old father of two where he stood. According to TMZ, the shooter then ran to a waiting vehicle with a female driver, and the two vanished.
For now, police think the incident was gang related, an early assertion frowned on by some in the community, but the notion was just reiterated by LAPD less than an hour ago.
Nipsey is survived by two children and his girlfriend, actress Lauren London. Details are stil coming in, and we’ll update you ASAP.
