Kanye uses the phrase “ramping up” to describe when he’s going into a bipolar episode, as he did back in 2016. At that time, it was widely reported that the superstar rapper had to be handcuffed to a hospital bed, going through what appeared to be a nervous breakdown. Since then, Kanye hasn’t been shy about his mental health struggles because he feels he’s providing awareness concerning the topic.

This interview, and that of many other A-list celebrities interviewed by David Letterman, will be out tomorrow in a Netfix series called ‘My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.’
