Cuba Gooding Jr. turned himself in to NYC police on Thursday, as we told you he would. He was handcuffed and perp-walked in front of news cameras, in what had to be a most humiliating moment for the Oscar-winning actor. He had an ill-advised smirk on his face in the moment that he will probably regret. Gooding was charged with forcible touching and sexual abuse in the third degree. The incident happened last weekend, and was recorded for all to see. What do you think?
As you can see, Gooding is sitting alone in an empty area at the Magic Hour Rooftop Lounge in Manhattan, NYC. First, his girlfriend Claudine De Niro walks over and sits down, then hugs up against him. Soon after, the accuser walks up and has a seat right next to Claudine.
Cuba and the accuser appear to talk, and it seems he puts his hand on her knee. Then as TMZ describes, Cuba touches the alleged victim’s breast. Cuba then appears to kiss her hand. TMZ is saying that move could be seen as the victim pushing his hand away. The whole thing happened very quickly, and Cuba’s girlfriend Claudine was in the middle of the two the whole time.
Some say Cuba propositioned the accuser for a threesome, while others say different, but these could easily just be the movements and actions of drunk people at a bar. Soon after all this, a guy comes over, and then the area becomes crowded, and all of them, including the alleged victim, get up and follow Cuba Gooding Jr. to another area of the lounge.
