Oscar winner Cuba Gooding Jr. Is really surprised New York City prosecutors decided to charge him and perp walk him in front of the cameras, after finding out what he now knows about his sexual assault accuser’s mental state. He and his lawyers have discovered a blog by his accuser where she apparently admits to being diagnosed with several serious mental illnesses, among other things.
TMZ reports in one entry, Cuba’s accuser says…
“I got diagnosed with depression, ADHD, Anxiety Disorder, and PTSD and basically learned that my brain was one big fat mass.”
She also says, “I am quite prideful. I must win.” The accuser can be seen hounding security at the rooftop bar where the incident happened two Sundays ago, trying desperately to have Cuba Gooding Jr. arrested. However when the surveillance tape was released shortly after, many were left wondering exactly where the arrest worthy offenses had occurred.
For his part, Cuba Gooding Jr. and his lawyer, Mark Heller, are pushing to have the whole thing dropped at an upcoming court date this Wednesday. He told TMZ…
“After reading and reviewing the motion to dismiss in the interest of justice, I was deeply surprised that the prosecutors office didn’t evaluate this woman’s history before undertaking to prosecute me in light of her warped mental state as revealed by her blog.”
If the writings on her blog are legit, it has to come as welcome news to Cuba Gooding Jr. On the other hand, much of his whereabouts seem to be off camera on the night in question, so it’s really anyone’s guess as to which way the ball may bounce.
