Controversial comedian Dave Chappelle is going all crazy comedian on us again. He just dropped a Netflix special where he jokingly questions the validity of Michael Jackson accusers James Safechuck and Wade Robson’s stories. In fact, before he begins a crude set of jokes about the matter, he says, “I know I’m not allowed to say this, but… I don’t believe those motherfu*****.”
Dave goes on to get laughs with lines like… “I know it seems harsh, but somebody’s gotta teach these kids. No such thing as a free trip to Hawaii. He’s going to want to look at your butthole or something,” apparently, a refrence to some of the graphic details described by Safechuck and Robson in their Lifetime miniseries, Leaving Neverland.
Dave’s special is called Sticks and Stones and it’s out now. Both accusers are speaking up and pushing back on the comedian and his act, with Wade Robson saying, “He can say whatever he wants. It reveals him, not us.” Robson’s attorney, Vince Finaldi, also added…
“Although Mr. Chappelle is entitled to his opinions, however misinformed they may be, it’s unfortunate that he has chosen to use his platform to shame sexual abuse victims, and spread his ignorance of sexual abuse and the way it is perpetrated upon children, in an attempt to resurrect his career.”
Ouch… To be fair, Dave Chapelle has garishly joked about Michael Jackson’s abuse allegations in the past as well – this isn’t his first rodeo. We’ll let you know if any more comments or accusations are thrown about with this one. Until the next time it drips…
