After serving 15 months in federal prison for credit card fraud, City Girls rapper Jatavia “JT” Johnson was released from custody yesterday. Although her sentence won’t be complete until March 2020, she gets to serve out the rest of her time from a halfway house in Atlanta, Georgia. JT will get to see family and friends during the day, and most importantly, she’ll get to work.

City Girls has managed to stay hotter than ever. Coincidentally, Yung Miami is now far along in her pregnancy with super producer Southside’s baby, so the timing of JT being released to take the reins couldn’t be more perfect.
Right now JT’s’ sitting in a halfway house alone, iced out. However, she also has a single aptly titled “First Day Out” surging on iTunes. it’s going to be exciting to see how everything develops from this point on. The world is watching – until the next time it drips…
