Things have been looking up for DMX since being released from federal custody after serving time for tax evasion. He’s been making money rocking shows, is fielding several acting offers, and even linked back up with his old record label, Def Jam. There’s always been one thing for all of his adult life that seems to short-circuit the X’s success though… the drugs.
DMX is showing that he’s taking his sobriety very seriously these days. He’s reportedly canceled a slew of upcoming shows and voluntarily checked himself into drug rehab. He released this statement on Instagram for his millions of loyal fans…
“In his ongoing commitment to putting family and sobriety first, DMX has checked himself into a rehab facility. He apologizes for his cancelled shows and thanks his fans for their continued support.”
DMX has sold over 17 million albums – triple, quadruple platinum records. He even flipped a nickel on his classic, … And Then There Was X. Now back with his Def Jam family, DMX is dropping singles again and working with the hottest young talent in the music industry. The Dog has a lot on the line, so we wish him lots of good luck. Bless up for DMX.
