Oscar-winner and notorious bar fly Cuba Gooding Jr. pled not guilty to two counts in a New York City courtroom. He’s been indicted for one count of forcible touching and one count of sexual abuse in the third degree. Cuba’s facing a total of six charges that mirror two counts in other cases, but today, accuser Natasha Ashworth began her shot at justice. Natasha was a waitress working at TAO nightclub in New York City on October 24th, 2018, where the incident went down.
Prosecutors presented surveillance video, obtained by TMZ, that seems to confirm that Cuba made some sorts of contact with Natasha’s back region as he was walking past Natasha and leaving the club, somewhere around 4:20 in the morning. You can see Cuba stop to explain his little feels, but Natasha isn’t having it, as she pushes his hand away from her.
Whatever he did to her, it was super quick, and his lawyer Mark Heller still seems confident about Cuba’s prospects, saying … “This is a bogus butt grope claim. The video proves Cuba is innocent beyond a reasonable doubt.” After the proceedings, Heller found reportets and railed…
“At roughly 4:30 AM at the end of the day, Cuba is exiting the facility and, with the back of his hand — his fingernail — he taps the lady in the back and turns around to give her a high-five just as a salutation of goodbye. It’s not criminal conduct whatsoever.”
Prosecutors are pissed that Cuba’s legal team leaked the surveillance footage before the court date, but as prosecutors pointed fingers, they also seemed to indicate that they themselves have been holding back more unseen surveillance of the incident… guess two can play that game.
