Rapper Kodak Black has been sentenced to 46 months in the federal penitentiary after he pled guilty to gun charges. TMZ found out the rapper’s fate from his attorney, Bradford Cohen. Kodak has been locked up since May after being ambushed by all levels of law enforcement – US Marshals, DEA, ATF, and LAPD – before he took the stage at a Rolling Loud concert in Los Angeles.
Even if given credit for time served, one of this generation’s most popular rhymers will now be silenced for years. Kodak Black was making millions of dollars, putting out hit songs with lasting commercial success. When he was arrested, Kodak was in the middle of a big money making North American tour and getting ready to drop his next album of the year.
Now the millions upon millions of adoring fans left stranded on Kodak Black’s social media accounts have their answer, and it ain’t pretty. If he can stay out of trouble, Kodak would do himself a huge favor, but with that much time the whole world will be different when he gets out, to say nothing of the ever-changing rap game.
