On Wednesday, notorious ‘hip hop snitch’ Tekashi69 is set to be sentenced for his crimes. He’s going to appear before judge Paul Engelmayor in New York City. The prosecution team has submitted recommendations for a light sentence since Tekashi69’s testimony was instrumental in securing several convictions, and essentially the “FeFe” rapper did his job – that’s just how this works.
TMZ has also published portions of Tekashi69’s personal letter to the judge, as well as letters from the rapper’s family and his ‘ride or die’ girlfriend, Jade. In his letter, Tekashi69 doesn’t try to make excuses for himself, but says…
“I now know that I am remorseful for what happened because I was blessed with the gift of an opportunity that most people dream of but I squandered it by getting involved with the wrong people and misrepresenting myself when I should have been true to myself and my fans.”
Tekashi69 also cut down the gang, talking about how they kidnapped him, and he went on to tell the judge, “I feel like it sheds a light on what can come from gang affiliation.” You’ll remember Tekashi69 admitted the gang was taking huge sums of his show money to fund gang operations. Of course, the gang says it was all Tekashi’s idea, but when he stopped paying, Tekashi69 got kidnapped.
Apparently Tekashi69’s mother, Natividad Perez-Hernandez, also wrote the judge saying her son was a “sweet, God-fearing boy.” She also pleaded with the judge saying Tekashi69 provides for his entire family, even though as best we can tell, Tekashi69 only has one child. If this thing doesn’t go right on Wednesday, it looks like they will all have to find a job. We’ll be watching – until the next time it drips.
