It’s been revealed that late rapper and rising star Juice Wrld has around 2000 unreleased songs. An amazing number, the sum of his unreleased material became a real issue within the last week, after an unauthorized leak of 26 unreleased tracks.
TMZ sources confirm there are plans for a posthumous album for Juice Wrld, so unauthorized dumps like that can’t go unchecked. Word is the “Lucid Dreams” artist was a true workaholic and an industry favorite – he had a verse on countless high profile releases in 2019.
If Juice Wrld actually has upwards to 2k songs, you’re talking a music career after death that could even surpass the groundbreaking success of the late, great Tupac Shakur. Mac Miller’s “Circles” album easily broke through the top 5 on US album charts in it’s first week out. Given that kind of real time success story, Juice’s record label has nothing but incentive to go forward and drop a hot collection of songs.
Since Juice Wrld’s accidental overdose of oxycodone and codeine last month, the Hip Hop world hasn’t been the same. The rapper apparently popped several pills to avoid arrest, after his private plane was boarded and searched by federal agents at Chicago Midway Airport. He soon collapsed and died, thus ending a deadly months game of cat-and-mouse with the FBI.
Until the next time it drips….
