Superstar Migos rapper Offset was handcuffed and detained for hours by LAPD for suspicion of gun possession. He was in the garage of a shopping center called The Grove when a call came in to police saying there was a guy dressed in all black that appeared to be packing a gun.
TMZ is reporting that police say when they got there, they noticed a guy matching that description jumping out of the SUV Offset was riding in. When cops checked the vehicle out, they found 4 individuals, including Offset, and two loaded handguns, but not one license to carry said handguns on anybody. Nobody admitted to owning the tools so they all took a trip to the police station.
Apparently when Offset’s crew was questioned, two guys copped to possessing the firearms; therefore, the rapper was off the hook for another gun charge. Two of his guys were eventually booked on firearms charges. Being a convicted felon, Offset definitely cannot be caught with the heat on his person, so crisis averted.
Offset was released around midnight and he looked very relieved, saying… “Yeah, I was treated fair, no cap… Someting happened, I don’t know – it wasn’t me though!”
