For what appears to be the first time, the Osundairo brothers in the Jussie Smollett case are now speaking to the media. TMZ caught the brothers, Abel and Ola, coming out of a Chicago area restaurant with one of their lawyers. They say they’re praying for Jussie and they want him to “build up the courage to finally tell the truth.”
You probably know Jussie has been indicted on six new felony counts by Special Prosecutor Dan Webb. The charges are for disorderly conduct, but they all relate to lying to police about the now infamous January 2019 hate crimes hoax.
The Osundairo brothers seem to be sticking to their story, that Jussie Smollet hired them to play a role, and they didn’t know Jussie would go on to lie to the police about the choreographed encounter. However, Abel told TMZ the brothers feel remorseful over the incident – an interesting emotion to have, if they maintain they never did anything wrong.
Of course a judge in Chicago decided the new case against Jussie could move forward, even though Jussie’s previous case with much the same charges was previously dismissed. The Osundairo brothers also indicate they now stand ready to testify if need be. Chicago Police and prosecutors are straight up salivating for another bite at the apple.
Frankly, this is starting to seem like much ado about a hate crime that authorities insist never even happened. On the other hand, could one be unfolding against Jussie right now, an openly gay actor? Seriously, real hate crime victims can only dream of this much attention from police. We’ll let you know what happens next – until the next time it drips…
