All of Kobe Bryant’s surviving children have now been appointed guardians to protect their interests as the real work begins, deciding the future of Kobe Bryant’s estate. The children’s mother, Vanessa Bryant, initiated the request to have the children appointed guardian ad litems just Friday, but a California judge wasted no time approving it.

TMZ reports Erika Williams is now guardian ad litem to Natalia and Bianka Bryant, while James Summers is guardian to Kobe’s youngest child, Capri Bryant.

As you may know, Vanessa Bryant is making a move to have Capri added to Kobe’s trust. She and Kobe had not yet added 9-month-old Capri to the documents before the NBA legend’s tragic death. Of course Kobe was very healthy, so the couple probably felt no need to rush. We’re told a judge will decide on adding Capri to the trust very soon.

In the meantime, and with all the legal issues Vanessa has to juggle considering the size of Kobe Bryant’s estate, apparently she thought it best to get all the childrens’ interests fully protected with guardian ad litems. It’s also being reported Vanessa is worried about the affects of the current Coronavirus pandemic possibly bringing the courts to a halt soon.

Kobe’s estimated net worth at death was around $600 million. The venture capital firm he started with partner Jeff Stibel is said to have $2 billion in holdings. Vanessa Bryant truly has a lot to handle – until the next time it drips…
