In an interview on the Tiki and Tierney show on CBS yesterday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians made it abundantly clear that troubled wide receiver Antonio Brown would not be playing for the Bucs, in no uncertain terms.
When Tiki Barber asked Arians if Antonio might get to play in Tampa with his pal Tom Brady, Arians responded… “Yeah, it’s not gonna happen.” He also said, “There’s no room and probably not enough money, but it’s not gonna happen. It’ not a good fit here.”
When the departure of speedster wideout Breshad Perriman was mentioned, Arians didn’t bite. And when Brandon Tierney asked if Antonio Brown could be had at minimum veteran’s salary, just to see if the relationship he has with Tom Brady could flourish on the field, Bruce Arians simply said “No.”
So there you have it – there’s no hope for a Brown-Brady reunion in Tampa. The two athletes will just have to keep encouraging each other over social media. Besides, it was also pointed out that the Bucs already have good depth at the wide receiver positions with Pro Bowlers Chris Even and Chris Goodwin – no worries.
Until the next time it drips…
