Lil Baby got caught in a tough situation after he declared over Instagram Live that he went to his record label, Quality Control Music, and demanded a $5 million sum to get through the Coronavirus emergency shutdown. Just like that, the whole thing hit the fan and people started talking.
His exact words were, “You know wsup with me nig**! I don’t wanna go to the hood, so I’d rather get on Instagram… You know what’s happening. ‘Cause I told my label, they need to give me five million dollars, or I’m goin’ to hustle, fu** it.” He goes on … “I can’t be sittin’ in no house, man, I get money. Give me $5 million, or I’m doing what I do.”
The “Woah” rapper now says he was just joking… but it sounded like he was ‘just serious’ to us. He quickly put out this message tagging his record label’s President, Quality Control Music’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas, saying, “@qcmceo_p tell these people it was a joke!!!! How many 5ms we done ran up. Ohhhh okkk”
Interestingly, “Pee” seemed to take it all in stride as well. He posted Lil Baby’s retraction on his page with a caption reading, “Too Many Times Idiots. Y’all MF’s Love A Story. “My Turn” Deluxe Come Out Friday. Go Run That Up.” Well actually on second read of this comment, it does seem the Quality Control head-honcho may be a bit irritated with situation.
Lil Baby made his overstep, that some people are calling just pure cap, on Instagram Live. That’s right, the tool that’s fast becoming a hip hop trap for rappers looking to get themselves in trouble, beefs, and hot water. We’ll let you know if there’s anymore fallout here for Lil Baby. Until the next time it drips….
