After Tekashi69 decided the No Kid Hungry charity would receive a $200k gift from all the money he’s been racking up lately, the charity apparently decided that “all money ain’t good,” and turned the rapper’s check down.
It obviously came as a real blow too for the “BOOBA” rapper. TMZ reports he made this statement about the matter… “@nokidhungry rather take food out the mouth of these innocent children I never seen something so cruel.” So it’s clear… he mad, big mad.
When they first turned the huge sum down, the No Kid Hungry organization said this…
“We are grateful for Mr. Hernandez’s generous offer to donate to No Kid Hungry but we have informed his representatives that we have declined this donation. As a child-focused campaign, it is our policy to decline funding from donors whose activities do not align with our mission and values.”
When you think about it, Tekashi69 was just a card carrying member of a very violent street gang. He himself can be seen on camera calling out a hit on a rival on camera, all over the internet. It might be hard to explain that to the children and families No Kid Hungry represents, and their other donors.
Moreover, since Tekashi69 got sprung from the feds, he hasn’t exactly been humble nor apologetic for his crimes and his past – in fact it’s quite the opposite. The rapper has clearly been playing up and gloating about the fact he avoided actual punishment for his wildly criminal past.
We all know he did it by snitching on the gang, but neither side of the law, the cops nor the criminals, wants people out there bragging about how they got away with it.
Yet that is exactly how Tekashi69 has decided to keep himself relevant. He calls himself a “snitch” and a “rat” and laughs. There’s just a very high likelyhood that kind of aggressively antagonistic approach to the streets, and street interests, will end badly. Perhaps No Kid Hungry doesn’t want to be holding Tekashi69’s bag of money when that happens – if that happens.
Until the next time it drips….
