Reports are coming in that activist NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick is getting serious looks from several NFL teams, since Commissioner Roger Goodell greenlighted a possible Kaepernick acquisition by any NFL team a couple weeks ago. There’s a good chance “Kap” could be back in an NFL jersey in a matter of weeks.
NFL Network’s Michael Silver said yesterday, he is aware of one head coach in particular with very strong interest in signing Kaepernick. Silver went on to say the real problem right now is the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. He said…
“Colin Kaepernick, who has not played since 2016, finds himself in the same situation that Cam Newton and Jadeveon Clowney do… which is a team that would be ready to sign him would want to work him out.”
Of course getting a good workout with an NFL team is still completely on hold at the moment, especially since reports came out of several players in the state of Texas, including Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys, being infected with COVID-19.
On the bright side however, NFL training camps don’t start until July 28th as of right now. There’s still time for Kaepernick and a needy team to work things out. Until the next time it drips….
