THE LIL WAYNE BUS SHOOTER TAKES A PLEA DEAL – IS HE SNITCHING?

Leaked Birdman Phone Call Is New Evidence in Lil Wayne Bus Shooting Case

In an interesting turn of events, it’s being reported the guy who got convicted of shooting up rapper Lil Wayne’s tour bus has now copped a plea. His name is Jimmy Winfrey and TMZ says they have legal documents detailing he pled guilty to two counts of violating the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.

Winfrey had been convicted and sentenced to 20 years in jail for shooting up Lil Wayne’s tour bus and injuring bus driver, Alvin Lewis. However, Jimmy Winfrey’s convictions were overturned by the Georgia Supreme court in 2018, thus opening the circumstance to a plea deal now.

He was sentenced to only seven years, and we’re told he gets credit for time served… Jimmy will likely be home soon.

You may remember the injured bus driver, Alvin, let it be known there has always been lots of evidence in the case implicating rapper and Cash Money Records CEO, Bird Man, and also superstar rapper Young Thug, as co-conspirators in the crime.

Rolling Stone reported Winfrey was a well known associate of Young Thug back then. The bus driver, Alvin, insists there were phone records and cash payments that prove Bird Man and Young Thug conspired to have Lil Wayne shot at. At the time, Alvin pondered aloud as to why prosecutors in Cobb County never brought charges against the two rich and powerful Hip Hop superstars.

Could this plea deal by “the shooter,” Winfrey, indicate the walls of protection are crumbling around Bird Man and Young Thug? What about the statute of limitations? Is it too late for prosecutors?

Of all, Alvin seems to have suffered the most from the situation – with his plea deal, Jimmy Winfrey was ordered to pay Alvin $100,000. When we get a good read on when Jimmy Winfrey will be freed, we’ll let you know, but we’re told he’s got this and other ongoing cases happening, so not yet.

Until the next time it dripsm..
