Usain Bolt, the greatest sprinter to ever live, has now tested positive for COVID-19. A national treasure, Usain’s positive test results were shared with the media late Monday night by Jamaica’s Minister of Health, Christopher Tufton.
Usain himself had jumped on social media earlier that day just to let his followers know he was in quarantine and did not have symptoms. However, now we all know he is positive for Coronavirus, and he’ll have to stay closed up until he tests negative.
What happened? Apparently, Usain’s girlfriend and baby mama, Kasi Bennett, decided to throw the multiple gold medalist a huge 35th birthday party this past Friday. Word is there was little to no social distancing, just a regular old Jamaican grind session.
Fast forward to Saturday, everybody began to get worried about the track and field superstar, so he took the test that day. TMZ also reported there were lots of Jamaican stars at the shindig as well, so more high profile fallout could be on the way.
