It’s being reported rapper NBA Youngboy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, 21, is under investigation for his role in a drug and firearms bust back in September 2020. Local Baton Rouge news station WBZR Ch 2 confirmed the existence of the brewing criminal scrutiny on Tuesday.
District Attorney Hillar Moore acknowledged that not only is his office looking at charges for the “No Understand” rapper, but the U.S. Attorney’s office is also putting a microscope on everything that happened that day, with NBA Youngboy in the scope.

So what happened? Police raided a NBA Youngboy video shoot. They rounded up at least 16 people in the operation, including Youngboy. Cops say they found drugs and confiscated firearms. The rapper was released on a $75,000 bond after the incident, and famously sprung all 16 of his people from jail at the same time. The whole deal caused quite a buzz on social media and the hip hop world.
