PGA Legend Tiger Woods has been in a terrible accident in Los Angeles County, California. About 7 A.M. PST while traveling near the Rolling Hills Estate, something went wrong and Tiger’s car crossed the center line and careened off the road and down a hill.
Tiger’s manager, Mark Steinberg, made a statement saying Tiger was in surgery because he had multiple leg injuries. They say his injuries are NOT life threatening, but it’s said Tiger has multiple compound fractures. There’s no word yet as to whether he’s out of surgery or not.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s rep told TMZ…
“The vehicle was traveling northbound on Hawthorne Boulevard, at Blackhorse Road, when it crashed. The vehicle sustained major damage.”
“The driver and sole occupant was identified as PGA golfer, Eldrick ‘Tiger’ Woods,” officials confirmed.”
It was initially said that Tiger was extricated from the vehicle by the “jaws of life.” We’ve now learned that was incorrect, however authorities say he did have to be pulled through his shattered front windshield.
Authorities also acknowledged there was no alcohol involved in the accident. The question of whether drugs were involved or not could take some time.
It’s being reported Tiger Woods was agitated this morning and took off speeding from the hotel he was staying in – but no real confirmation on Tiger’s speed has been established at this point.
We’ll bring you more when we get it. Best wishes for Tiger Woods. Until the next time it drips…
