Rapper and hip hop singer Swae Lee just ran into a real hassle down in South Beach Miami, Florida. He allegedly lost $300,000 in jewelry to theft at the Mondrian Hotel on the strip.
TMZ reports the “Sunflower” singer didn’t realize the jewelry was missing until he was about to check out. Swae says he was missing a bracelet and a necklace.
However once he reported the matter to the hotel the expensive bracelet was miraculously turned in by hotel staff. Quite the ‘co-inky-dink’…
But Swae Lee’s necklace never turned up, so the Rae Sremmurd band member called the cops. We’re told the investigation is under way.
As for the Mondrian Hotel, they released this statement….
“The hotel is working in full cooperation with the police and authorities. As always, the safety and security of our guests and colleagues remains our top priority.”
Of course the superstar is always in Miami, but this weekend is special… it’s Swae Lee’s birthday. So that’s a bummer.
