NICKI MINAJ AND MSNBC’S JOY REID SLAM EACH OTHER OVER COVID-19 VACCINE

On Monday, MSNBC’s Joy Reid slammed hip hop star Nicki Minaj for expressing COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy. After hearing Minaj missed the Met Gala in New York because of the Met’s vaccine mandate, Reid went off on Minaj live on her show, The ReidOut, saying…

“For you to use your platform to encourage our community to not protect themselves and save their lives… As a fan, I am so sad that you did that.”

Showing Nicki Minaj no mercy, Joy slammed the “Super Bass” artist pretty good. She also pointed out the fact that Minaj has over 22 million followers on Twitter as the biggest reason she should be more responsible in her messaging to the community.

What did Nicki Minaj really say? In reference to missing the Met Gala 2021 over the vaccine, Minaj said…

“They want you to get vaccinated for the Met. If I get vaccinated it won’t be for the Met. I’ll be once I feel I’ve done enough research. I’m working on that. In the meantime my loves, be safe. Wear the mask with 2 strings that grips your head and face. Not that loose one.”

Minaj also offered up an anecdote about a cousin in Trinidad, basically blaming the vaccine for impotence, swollen testicles, and a broken engagement. Still, most would agree Nicki Minaj can say whatever she wants to her fans.

The “Starships” diva didn’t waste time defending her right to her own opinion either… Within an hour of Joy Reid’s comments, Minaj had this to say about the host…

“This is what happens when you’re so thirsty to down another black woman (by the request of the white man), that you didn’t bother to read all my tweets. My God SISTER do better; imagine getting ur dumbass on tv a min after a tweet to spread a false narrative about a black woman.”

Minaj went on to drop more posts overnight and into the next day. She criticized Joy Reid for once saying who would “trust a vaccine approved by the @US_FDA??” Minaj even brought up Reid’s old controversy involving some homophobic tweets.

It got ugly pretty fast between the two public figures. We’ll let you know if Joy Reid decides to make mention of Nicki Minaj again on her show tonight. Stay tuned… Until the next time it drips….
