J. Cole has ended his hot streak. He’s broken his “Platinum with no features” trail after hitting a milestone with his most recent album.
The Off-Season has officially become the North Carolina native’s sixth album to go Platinum, but this time it’s a little different as it had some guests. The project included features from Morray, 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Bas, and 6lack.
The Off SeasonĀ dropped earlier in 2021 as his follow-up to 2018 albumĀ KOD, which had hit singles āKODā and āATM.ā Both songs debuted in the top 10 on the US Billboard Hot 100. Cole also dropped compilation albumĀ Revenge of the Dreamers III in 2021.
Cole’s latest effort has been certified RIAA Platinum officially, although it did take some time. The renowned project earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Rap Album at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards, but whether he’ll use features in future music is still up in the air.
Until the next time it drips…
