LIL WAYNE REMEMBERS JOHN MADDEN AFTER UNEXPECTED DEATH

Lil Wayne is remembering a great. He went to his Twitter to pay homage to an NFL legend who passed away Wednesday night. He tweeted the phrase, “ALL MADDEN forever,” with a prayer hand at the end of his message.

Hall of Fame coach John Madden passed away at the age of 85. You might have heard of the broadcasting legend from the ever-popular Madden video game series, which is named after him.

He was a commentator for over three decades, entertaining the league’s fans every single week for that 30+ year period. The league also said he died unexpectedly and did not give a cause of death.

“Madden gained fame in a decadelong stint as the coach of the renegade Oakland Raiders, making it to seven AFC title games and winning the Super Bowl following the 1976 season. He compiled a 103-32-7 regular-season record, and his .759 winning percentage is the best among NFL coaches with more than 100 games,” ESPN wrote.

Madden is famously quoted as saying, “I never worked a day in my life,” in remembrance of his football legacy. Rest in peace, John Madden.

Until the next time it drips…
