Eminem is getting on the crypto wave. The Detroit star has gone deep into his pockets to purchase yet another NFT.
Slim Shady purchased a Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT, joining a growing list of celebs and artists alike who have bought into the hype. He copped the non-fungible token on the OpenSea platform for 123.45 ether, which is roughly $462,000.
Despite opening his OpenSea wallet less than a week ago, he has already acquired 22 NFTs under the name Shady Holdings. GeeGazza, a Twitter user who sold Em the NFT, expressed his feelings about the transaction online.
“Thank you @Eminem for buying my ape and joining the club! Madness,” he wrote, playfully continuing on for the legendary rapper to “let me write a lyric in your next single.”
At this rate, you can probably expect many more purchases in the NFT realm from the 49-year-old. Let’s see what happens…
