Pop Smoke is on everybody’s mind. After a teaser of new music from the late star emerged online, social media had something to say.
While his first posthumous project, Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon, seemed like the perfect send-off for the 20-year-old, nobody felt that way about followup album Faith.
Many thought it was far too rushed and didn’t even reflect the type of sound the Brooklyn drill poster-boy pioneered so well. In light of new previews of music, the Internet is speaking up.
“Nobody wants new Pop Smoke music because it ain’t even Pop Smoke music,” one user tweeted, while another took a shot at his family and Steven Victor over what they see as a money-grab every year.
Perhaps they’re right, and we should let dead artists rest and avoid any possible disrespect by releasing music they might not have actually wanted released.
