Antonio Brown is pulling out the receipts. The NFL star has spoken out against his now-former coach and organization.
Brown went to Instagram with screenshots of text conversations about an allegedly severe ankle injury he suffered. He insists he was pressured to play through it, and that Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians completely knew about the injury, something he later refuted on national television.
AB’s lawyer also released a lengthy statement on behalf of the 33-year-old. āI didnāt quit,ā Brown said inĀ the statement.
āI was cut. I didnāt walk away from my brothers. I was thrown out. Being fired on the sideline for having a painful injury was bad enough. Then came their āspin.ā Coach denied on national television that he knew about my ankle. Thatās 100% inaccurate. Not only did he know I missed several games with the injury, he and I exchanged texts days before the game where he clearly acknowledged my injury.ā
Last Sunday, AB walked off the field jersey-less and shirtless during Tampa Bay’s game against the New York Jets. Arians reportedly wanted him to re-enter the game, then cutting him after Brown said he couldn’t due to his injury.
