Lil Yachty is switching it up. In a new interview done during a visit to Atlanta jewelry staple Icebox, he revealed his next album wouldn’t be a hip-hop project.
The 24-year-old dished out…
“My new album is a non-rap album. It’s alternative, it’s sick! I’ve always wanted to [do one] but now I’ve met all these amazing musicians and producers. It’s like a psychedelic-alternative project. It’s different and it’s all live instrumentation.”
He continued on to let fans know, essentially, the old Yachty was out and the new is in. “I’ve changed my entire dynamic. I’m telling you, with this album and on, I’m creating music a whole lot differently.”
This is pretty dope, as it’s always great to see artists not being too shy or afraid to try something new. There are no exact details about his upcoming albums or it’s release date, but it’s surely going to be something different and unique.
