The Weeknd has done it again. The Toronto crooner is slated for another – no surprise here – No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200.
After releasing new album Dawn FM last Friday, it’s expected to top the charts. As of Monday, it has been reported per HitsDailyDouble that the project will move approximately 157,000 album-equivalent units in its first week out.
What makes this even more impressive is the superstar artist opted out of shipping any physical copies, thus overall lowering his statistics. The project is being hailed by some fans already as one of the greatest albums ever, even drawing a comparison to Michael Jackson’s Thriller by Timbaland, with its uniquely beautiful 80’s sound.
Gunna is expected to sit at the No. 2 spot on the chart with DS4EVER, moving an estimated 144,000 units. Both of the projects were dope, but Abel will seemingly come out on top once more.
