Gunna is spilling the tea. The Atlanta rap star has spoken up in a new interview about the origins of his beef with Freddie Gibbs.
He made an appearance on The Breakfast Club last Friday morning and said the Indiana rapper reached out to make a song together – despite sneak-dissing him online right before that.
Ahead of the release of his new album, DS4EVER, Gunna sent a message to Freddie on Twitter. He wrote the 39-year-old he’d have the biggest night of his career as soon as people heard him getting dissed on the project. He was referring to the line “on poochie gown,” where he says, “I can’t f*ck with Freddie Gibbs.”
In the interview, Gunna says Gibbs “tried to do a song with me through my manager. It’s like, ‘Huh? Wait, what?'” He further explained that years ago Gibbs shared a video of the Wunna star speaking in an alleged “Crime Stoppers” video.
Gunna went on to say…
“It was a long, long, long time ago, maybe years ago, and he thought I forgot. I just don’t forget. If I got a problem with you from five years ago, it’s still [a problem]. It don’t change. It can be ten years later. I’m gon’ get you.”
So there you have it – that’s why the two stars have become straight up enemies. We probably haven’t heard the last on this one.
