Mike Tyson is shutting down the talk. After rumors of an agreed fight with Jake Paul came to fruition, he’s come forward with the truth about the matter.
The 55-year-old fighting legend took to his Twitter page to kill off the talk. “This is new to me. I just saw Jake in St. Barths and he never mentioned it,” Tyson posted on the social media platform.
The former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world was responding to a story published by The Sun this week. The outlet reported he and the YouTube star were in “advanced talks” for a $49 million boxing match.
Does this mean he’s done fighting professionally forever? We can’t be sure. However, it is definitely clear that a lot of people would pay to see the 25-year-old knocked on the floor by Tyson.
