JAY-Z MENTOR OPENS UP ABOUT HOV SHOOTING HIS OWN BROTHER

The mentor of JAY-Z is speaking up. JAZ-O, a major influence on the iconic rapper, has dished out some shocking details about JAY-Z shooting his own brother.

Both raised in the Marcy Houses project, JAZ-O took the flourishing star under his wing and featured him on 1990 song ā€œThe Originatorsā€. In a newĀ VladTVĀ interview, JAZ-O opened up about the time ‘Hov’ shot his older brother, Eric Carter.Ā

Hov was just 12 years old when it all went down. The story goes… he pulled a gun on his drug-addicted older brother for allegedly stealing his ring and shot him. JAZ-O said…

ā€œYeah, I can’t remember, but it was a shot to not fatally wound but just you know…to be honest, I don’t think he was aiming to really hit him, in his defense.”

He continued, saying…

“it was my gun. He didn’t have the gun so he could go and shoot his brother. It was a thing back then. You got some arms, you got guns or got a gun, that was a sign of brotherhood with the street.ā€

JAY-Z has said that the event haunted him for the rest of his life, so this is just a little bit more insight into the traumatizing situation.

Until the next time it drips…
