Justin Bieber is getting on the crypto wave. The music superstar has dropped major money on a rare NFT.
The Canadian native has become the latest member of the exclusive Bored Ape Yacht Club, and the proud owner of Ape #3001. The ape was purchased for 500 ETH, which is worth about $1,300,000 at the time of writing this, and is about 300% more than the floor price.
Other notable members of the Ape Club include tennis icon Serena Williams and none other than rap legend Eminem. The club is the most expensive collection of non-fungible tokens available online, with a floor price of over 100 ETH.
Atlanta rapper Gunna has bought a Bored Ape NFT as well, with his costing north of $305,000. ‘Wunna’ even got the ape tattooed on himself, but we’ll have to see if Bieber is as happy about his purchase as the rap star was.
