Ice Cube isn’t here for the NFT world. The hip-hop veteran went to social media to completely shut down the viral art trend.
After somebody tweeted out a handful of pictures of rap artists looking like Renaissance paintings, Cube had to speak up. The user wrote, “found this dope pic on my old phone and my first thought was ‘I wish this was a NFT collection. 10/10 would mint.”
However, it’s not all fun and dandy in the Hollywood icon’s eyes. He shot back his dislike and disdain for non-fungible tokens in totality.
Ice Cube retweeted the photo and replied…
“No thank you. I actually hate this fake a** sh*t. Making me a part of their bullsh*t is insulting. Leave me out.”
He’s echoing Kanye West’s recent sentiment about the digital art, and who can blame him? Is an NFT anything, actually, real? Just sayin’…
