Kodak Black is doing okay. After being shot over the weekend, the rapper’s lawyer has given an update on his status.
‘Yak’ wound up in an altercation early on Saturday morning outside of an afterparty hosted by Justin Bieber that left him and two others shot. The Florida native was posted up with Lil Baby and Gunna when he found himself in a scrap, which went from a fistfight to shots fired, real quick.
His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, explained that Kodak is doing alright despite being struck in the leg by gunfire. Cohen wrote on his Instagram.
“There was an unprovoked attack on an individual kodak was with, when security and kodak came to his aid, several shots were fired at them by an unidentified assailant.”
He continued,
“Luckily, this was all caught on video. Kodak was struck in the leg. It was not life-threatening, he will make a full recovery and he is in stable condition.”
Thankfully Kodak Black is okay because it was truly a frightening seen on video. We’ve been losing too many hip-hop artists to gun violence, and it needs to stop. We’ll update you as soon as more details come available.
