Young Thug is trying to help. The Atlanta native has spoken up in efforts of assistance amidst Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
There have been reports of African immigrants being treated unfairly at Ukraine’s borders, with a “Ukrainians first” policy preventing them from getting on trains to head into nearby countries. There’s a heavy presence of African students who live in the country, due to it’s affordable schooling.
After hearing about the situation, ‘Thugger’ went to his Instagram Story to chime in about the matter. He offered his support to the country’s African population and simultaneously called on his hip-hop peers to lend a hand too.
The 30-year-old wrote…
“If some of my rap brothers are in I’m willing to help Africans get out of Ukraine however I can sense [sic] they not letting us pass. Who ever holds the info for these movements please contact me ASAP I’m ready.”
It’s great to see him trying to help, and hopefully he gets to actually make a difference. More importantly, hopefully the two countries battling right now find peace.
