Benny The Butcher knows he’s elite. The Griselda star has dropped major bars over a classic DMX beat in a new freestyle.
He recently stopped by Power 106 for a fire freestyle ahead of his Tana Talk 4 album, which is set to drop on Friday. While sitting down with the L.A. Leakers, the Buffalo, New York native spat bars bars over DMX, The LOX and Ma$e’s classic “N-ggaz Done Started Something.”
The Butcher raps over the instrumental…
“Face of Def Jam, and we plan on changing the score. This time around, this street shit gon’ get some label support/Thankful for legends who paved the way but ain’t get awards/‘Cause every hustler at the table done took some game from New York.”
Calling himself the face of Def Jam, Benny was referring to the deal he inked with the iconic label back in November. Tana Talk 4 will be his last independent album, and now we just have to wait to see what heat he and Def Jam will cook up.
Until the next time it drips…
