Nicki Minaj has some fans confused. Many Barbz don’t know quite what to think after her most recent Twitter activity.
On Tuesday, the Queens, New York native took to Twitter to show love to a HotNewHipHop piece titled “Why Nicki Minaj Is One of the Greatest of All Time,” written by Joshua Robinson. He details Nicki’s rise in the music industry and the undeniable impact she’s had on Hip-Hop and the culture, which he claims is more apparent when she decides to lay low.
What stuck out to her fanbase, however, was her inconspicuous scribbling out of several female artists’ names from her tweet. Nicki crossed out the names of Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, City Girls, and Doja Cat from the article, for unknown reasons.
Some are wondering if this is a sort of way to throw shots at these artists, or if she just wanted the spotlight on herself. Regardless, we all have to put respect on the 39-year-old’s name and her massive influence on rap.
