Kanye West couldn’t care less about the Grammys. This is what longtime friend and collaborator Dame Dash says, at least.
TMZ caught up with Damon at LAX and asked what he thought of the Recording Academy’s decision to axe Mr. West from performing at this year’s ceremony. “Kanye don’t give a f**k about the Grammys,” the Roc-A-Fella Records mogul responded matter-of-factly.
Dam continued…
“We make our own Grammys … I’m not trying to fit into somebody else’s system. So we just create our own so we ain’t gotta worry about nobody else’s rules. … It’s not for them to judge who’s hot. It’s for us. They really shouldn’t be giving us the awards. We should be giving them the awards. They gotta respect our culture.”
A representative for Ye confirmed he was booted from performing at the 64th Annual Grammy Awards for his so called, “disturbing online behavior.”
This, apparently, is the last thing on his mind, according to the 50-year-old Hip-Hop entrepreneur, and we believe him. After all, Kanye has posted himself peeing in a Grammy Award before.
