YOUNG DOLPH POSTHUMOUSLY EARNS FIRST SOLO PLATINUM CERTIFICATION

Young Dolph has reached a major milestone. The late artist has earned his first solo platinum certification from the RIAA.

Announced by the Recording Industry Association of America on Monday, it’s been revealed the certification comes for Dolph’s single ā€œMajor.ā€ Featuring his cousin Key Glock, the single came after Dolph scored his first platinum plaque for his work on OT Genasis’ 2015 blockbuster hit ā€œCut It,” but this time it’s for efforts on his very own track.

ā€œMajorā€ also marked the first time Glock and Dolph linked up on a track together since the former signed to Paper Route Empire back in 2017. The latter claimed the song actually led to a $22 million signing offer from a major label while on Drink Champs, so its success is undeniable.

The single peaked at No. 47 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and is still racking up plays to this day. The 36-year-old’s legacy will continue to live on through his friends, family, and the fans still streaming his music every day.

Until the next time it drips…
