Eminem, Drake, and Kanye West have all been hacked. On Tuesday, fans noticed their favorite rappers’ YouTube accounts were under fire by attackers.
The hackers uploaded several strange videos to accounts from A-list artists such as Drake, Kanye West, Eminem, Travis Scott, the late Juice WRLD, and more. The bizarre videos have since been taken offline, however, screenshots live forever.
Upload titles saw “Free Paco Sanz (ft. Will Smith, Chris Rock, Skinny flex & Los Pelaos)” go to every account, referring to the name of a man who will spend the rest of his life in prison after defrauding thousands of people while pretending he had a terminal illness. YouTube is yet to address the hack, but their music partner VEVO has put out a statement about the matter.
It read in part, “While the artist channels have been secured and the incident has been resolved, as a best practice Vevo will be conducting a review of our security systems.”
Let’s hope everyone gets their security protocols in place to prevent this from happening again!
Until the next time it drips…
