Kanye West might have to pay up. A Florida rapper has claimed he’s owed a piece of Kanye West’s $2 billion net worth.
Collaborator Smokepurpp took to social media this week to claim Yeezy still owed him $9 million, but didn’t explain the reason why. Purpp snapped, saying, “And Kanye, n*gga, you owe me like $9 million, n*gga. Hit my line, n*gga, or my lawyer’s gonna hit your lawyer.”
Although he didn’t cite the root of the issue, we can all assume it comes from his writing credit on Mr. West’s “I Love It” hit record with ‘Lil Pump. The “Audi” rapper explained on No Jumper back in 2019 that he actually penned “I Love It” with Pump on his 18th birthday. Purpp said…
“The ‘I Love It’ sh*t. I wrote that sh*t. Basically it was on Pump’s birthday. Basically this ni99a [Kanye West] just called Pump, blah, blah, blah. He wanted to make a song about this and I just wrote the song. And it randomly just came out. And he’s like, ‘Yo, the sh*t you wrote came out.’”
The claim by Smokepurpp came out of the blue, and Kanye West has yet to respond. The “Gold Dagger” artist is in seclusion at the moment, but we’ll report if he decides to make a statement.
