Dave Chappelle got ran up on. While performing at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Tuesday, a man attacked him on stage.
The suspect has been identified as Isaiah Lee, 23 years old. In video footage posted online, he can be seen running onto the stage before leveling Chappelle as security officers race to intervene.
While it’s unclear if he made an attempt to use it, the man was armed with a replica gun that could eject a real knife blade when discharged. Lee has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon, an LAPD spokesperson revealed.
His bail is set at $30,000. It’s unclear why he did it, or what his intent was, but he’s surely going to face the consequences for this one. Hilariously enough, Chris Rock popped up on stage after and asked… “Was that Will Smith?”
