Eminem is being honored. The Detroit icon is the newest rapper to be a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee.
Slim Shady has one Grammy, and Oscar award, and is one of the best selling artists of all time. However, he’s adding to his resume as a member of the 2022 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Others in this year’s class include: Duran Duran, Dolly Parton, Pat Benatar, Eurythmics, Lionel Richie, and Carly Simon. The group will be inducted during a ceremony that will go down in Los Angeles on November 5.
Inductees are chosen by a voting body that features more than 1,000 artists, historians, and members of the music industry. A public vote was also weighed, with the 49-year-old coming in second with more than 682,000 votes behind Duran Duran, which garnered 929,000 votes.
