Young Thug and Gunna got busted. The two rappers, as well as the Young Slime Life gang, have been hit with gang-related charges.
‘Thugger’ was arrested on Monday after being named in a sweeping 56-count grand jury indictment in Georgia. The prominent Atlanta artist was among 28 people allegedly associated with the ATL-based gang, which authorities say he founded in 2012, who have been charged with conspiring to violate the state’s Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) act.
The music star, whose real name is Jeffrey Lamar Williams, 30, is charged with two alleged counts: conspiring to violate the RICO Act as well as participating in street gang activity. His attorney, Brian Steel, told ABC News on Monday…
“Mr. Williams has committed no violation of law, whatsoever. We will fight this case ethically, legally and zealously. Mr. Williams will be cleared.”
Gunna, whose real name is Sergio Giavanni Kitchens, 28, was also named in the indictment on one count of conspiring to violate the RICO Act. It’s unclear if Gunna has been arrested as of this time. Stay tuned for updates.
